Description External Description: Located on the second floor, with elevator (or 43 steps), of a building located on Piazza dell'Olio, which is right next to the square that houses the famous Duomo of Florence. Being in the heart of the historic city center allows you to visit all the monuments comfortably on foot. You will also find many shops, bars and all the services of a modern city. Internal Description: Newly renovated apartment (100 sqm / 1076 sq.ft) with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers that can sleep up to 6 guests. Upon entering the apartment you will find the first bedroom with twin beds (joinable - mattress width 90cm) where there is also a flat screen TV. Connected to this room, as well as via the hallway from the entrance, there is the living room with sofa and TV that is connected to the well equipped kitchen with induction burners. The corridor then leads to the second bedroom with twin beds (joinable - mattress width 90cm) and then the third bedroom with double bed (not splittable - width 160cm). At the end of the corridor you will find the two bathrooms both with shower. In the larger bathroom there is a washing machine that is also a dryer. Independent heating. Area: The apartment is located within the Duomo district in Florence’s historic city centre. The Duomo area constitutes the very heart of Florence and the area takes its name from Brunelleschi’s magnificent dome on the wonderful Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral. The Duomo neighbourhood offers an array of beautiful historical buildings and superb piazzas including the Mercato di San Lorenzo, the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica, famous for its attractive cafes, patisserie shops, live music, street performers, and caricature artists. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red /green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify their need for access in the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police head(hidden).
